Downloading Films Through A Proxy Server ----------------------------------------------- If you access the Internet via a Proxy Server that requires authentication, you will not be able to download films directly through the player. There are two situations where the BMW Interactive Film Player will not Auto-detect proxy settings, and you must enter them manually: - If you're using a Mac - Windows users who do not have Internet Explorer configured to go through a proxy See the Proxy Settings section of the Player's Help for a way to work around this problem. ------------------------------------------- 4. Disk Space Issues ------------------------------------------- If you're having disk space issues: 1. Delete the old films you no longer watch. 2. If you want to save the films, store them externally (like with a ZIP drive or CD-ROM). Films and trailers from "The Hire" series can be extremely large files. Saving these files may cause you to run out of room on your hard drive. 100 MB is the minimum hard drive space required. You will need to have at least 100 MB free space on your hard drive to save and view ONE episode (trailer, subplot, and movie) in the smallest format. If you want to save and view additional films and your hard drive is full, you will have to delete your downloaded film(s) until you have enough free space to save and watch the film. The total size of all films and trailers from "The Hire" series is 800 MB. If you have the free space available, you may certainly keep these files on your hard drive. However, at some point it may fill up your hard drive, which may in turn adversely affect the operation of your computer. ------------------------------------------- 5.
